Identify the one area where we’re most engaged, productive and successful — .

Everything comes from our day to day practices which can be possible if we are passionate about the same.

“Often, if you find someone who’s great at either UX or Visual Design, they’re going to fall a bit short on one of those sides. That doesn’t mean they’re not extremely talented; it’s just that there are important differences between those two fields.”

UI and UX are inseparable. But does that mean that UX/UI designer, a single person can complete the whole process of UX design from A to Z? UX and UI design are parts of a whole, and it may seem reasonable to assign the whole process to one person. But the problem is that UX design requires a wider skill set and more experience than just graphic design. While a UX designer might be able to create prototypes and work with the UI team, a UI designer must have the skills to perform thorough user behaviour and marketing research and have user empathy to create a product with an intuitive interface that the users will love and use.

UX persona should work closely with the BA, creating user flows, solving problems, gathering data, creating functional design and analytics.

UI persona roles to work with front end development team and understanding of visual elements and design principles and standards with a creative insect inside.

Story of a graphic designer moving to UX Design comes with just an add on roles and responsibilities.
Designers are problem-solvers. Graphic designers and UX designers are equally skilled at creative thinking and solving problems through design.

This is from Desktop to laptop…

Few short years ago, the word “designer” usually meant one thing: graphic design.

Both graphic designers and UX designers try to create an emotional connection to the users one by visual and the other by usability.

  • Graphic design is about evoking the user’s emotions through colour, imagery, and typography. 94% of first of users’ first impressions based on design elements
  • UX designers are an add on to graphic designers skills are also concerned with evoking emotion, but they aren’t limited to the visual part of the design. They focus on information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility of design. This makes it possible to create a broader, big picture view of the entire user experience with the product.

The need for a change of a graphic designer to UX has been in demand due to the increase in digital products.

The product would be successful if that solves the user problem and make them pleasurable, usable, reliable and functional.

Essentially, UX design is a human-first way of designing products — it’s all about creating experiences that people can use with ease and delight

UX designers tend to be concerned with three primary factors — usability, look, and feel.

Take Away

When it comes to achieving your usability and design goals, the answer isn’t relying on one “unicorn”: it’s building and empowering a team of subject matter experts who bring out one another’s best.

Uncoupling UX and Visual Design may involve more up-front planning than your company is accustomed to — but in the long term, it can deliver the best of both worlds: deep individual expertise and a more integrated, collaborative process.
